Safety Precautions
1. Always inspect your resistance tubes and bands for wear, tears, cracks or damage before
each use.
2. Adhere to the manufacturers recommendations and warnings to ensure the safe use of
their product.
3. Whenever possible, instruct students to position their faces in the opposite direction of
rubber-tubing or resistance bands to avoid accidental injury.
4. Remember, rubber-tubing and resistance bands are not toys! Resistance training should
always be performed under the supervision of a qualified instructor.
Exercise Guidelines
1. Students should first study exercises before attempting to perform them.
2. Exercises should be performed using slow and controlled movements.
3. Training with rubber-tubing is intended to be a high-repetition lower-resistance type of
workout.
4. Perform repetitions by counting up one-two when pulling and three-four on the return.
5. Maintain tension on the tubing or bands at all times. Tubing should not be allowed to go
slack at any time.
